Worship Services
From the Sunday after Labor Day until the Sunday before Memorial Day weekend, we hold services at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. During the summer months, we meet at 10:30am. Please check the homepage of this website, the monthly newsletter, or the weekly announcements to verify this Sunday's schedule. Or you may always call the office at (919)942-2050.
Our minister is Rev. Thom Belote. We have a history of shared ministry here, which means, in part, that the minister is responsible for about three quarters of the services and the congregation is responsible for the other ones. Information about upcoming services can be found here. Podcasts of past sermons can be found here.

Welcome Table
Please stop by our welcome table on Sunday mornings when you arrive. Someone from the Membership Team will be there to greet you, provide a name tag so our members can greet you, and answer any questions you may have. If you sign the guest register form you may choose to receive our monthly newsletter by email, request information about Children’s Religious Education, and/or request to be contacted by someone from the Church.
Children and Youth
There are religious education classes for children and youth as well as infant and toddler care at all services. Please stop by the religious education table in the Community Room in the Jones Building (basically the Welcome Table for kids). Someone from the Children and Youth Ministry Team will be there to greet you, provide name tags for your children, answer any questions you may have, and help your children get settled in. More information about the Children and Youth Ministry can be found here . Children are also welcome to stay with you during the service.
Coffee Hour
After service, we invite you to follow members to the Community Room in the Jones Building for coffee and conversation. Different groups will have info tables about upcoming programs and projects. Be sure to visit the Membership Table, where you can sign the guest register if you did not already have a chance, pick up a Newcomers Guide, and ask any questions you may have.
"Exploring Membership" Classes
If you are interested in becoming a member, the first step is to attend an "Exploring Membership" class. Church staff members hold these classes throughout the year. Each class consists of two 75-minute sessions. These classes will help you learn more about Unitarian Universalism, our unique congregation, and what it means to be a member. Even if you are a long time Unitarian Universalist, this is a chance to learn about our church and begin to connect with this community. Check our weekly announcements or website to find out when the next class will be held and sign up.
Accessibility
.We strive to ensure that people of differing abilities feel welcome and fully equipped to participate at the Community Church. The main entrance to both the Sanctuary and the Jones Building can be accessed by a gradual descending ramp with handrails. Accessible parking is located in the circle immediately next to the Church. The church also has headphones and audio equipment for attendees who may have difficulty hearing our services. If you have a question or suggestion regarding accessibility, please contact us. We are listed in the Directory of Accessibility of Orange County Churches and Religious Institutions.
What to Wear
While members wear everything from jeans and tennis shoes to traditional Sunday best, dress overall is casual. Come however you feel most comfortable. You will be welcome.
