Contributing to the Endowment Fund

Have you thought about giving a lasting gift to the church?  This is one of the finest ways of showing how much Community Church has meant in your life.

Don't leave this important decision out of your long-term financial plans.  Make a commitment now!

Why Should You Give to the Endowment Fund?

An endowment allows Community Church to offer benefits to its members and to the community at large through programs and services not included in its core annual budget. In this way we can address urgent or special needs without compromising day-to-day operations.

While the operational budget is funded primarily by our annual pledge drive, our endowment has traditionally been funded either through memorial gifts, personal gifts, or through bequests to the church upon a congregant’s death.

Memorial or Honorary Gifts

Think about remembering a loved one's passing, or celebrating a blessed occasion, through a gift to the Community Church.  All such designated gifts will go directly to the Endowment Fund. Make this part of the planning of the memorial service, or contact the church directly to make a donation.

Planned Giving

Now may be the time for you to consider including Community Church in your estate planning. You can do this by explicitly putting the Community Church in your will, or by simply assigning the church as a beneficiary in retirement accounts, trusts, life insurance policies or bank accounts.  To learn more about ways you can contribute the Endowment Fund, please go to the link below:

This  is a great way of showing your commitment to the mission of the church while you are still alive. And r
emember that any such bequest will not affect your current income and could generate a charitable tax deduction and tax savings for your estate.

Making a Gift to the Endowment Fund

Contributions to build our endowment are accepted at anytime!  You may give a gift of cash, securities or other property to the Endowment Fund whenever you feel inspired and financially able.  These gifts are, of course, tax deductible.  When do you make a contribution to the Church or leave a bequest, and you want to make sure your gift is designated for the Endowment Fund, it is important to complete the Church's donor intent form (link below):

Let Us Know!

If you have already made a commitment to the Endowment Fund, please let us know!  We would be delighted to recognize your generosity, and would like to be able to plan recognition events for our "Endowment Gift Society" members.

If you are planning to make a gift or bequest, or to simply explore options for giving to the Endowment Fund. feel free to contact any of our members:

or alternatively, you can contact the Church Office at (919) 942-2050 or email the Endowment Committee at endowment@c3huu.org
