Guidelines for Attending Programming:
Do not attend in person programming if
If you are coughing, sneezing, or have congestion and a negative COVID test, please wear an N-95 mask (available at church).
If you have been exposed to someone with COVID, please take a test four days after contact before coming to church.

Space Use policy meets North Carolina COVID guidelines and executive orders and is informed by
CDC guidelines, UUA guidance for Gathering and other best practices.
Do not attend in person programming if
- You are coughing, sneezing, or experience congestion and haven't received a negative COVID test result
- You have a fever or have vomited in the last 24 hours
- You have been exposed to someone with COVID within the last four days

Sunday Morning Policy
- Masks must be worn inside the sanctuary. During worship, individual speakers and vocalists will unmask while singing or speaking.
- Masks must remain worn while singing hymns.
- A portion of the Sanctuary will be marked off for socially-distanced seating with clear signage.
- After service, there will be two outdoor areas available in which to socialize:
- The Courtyard where masks will be optional
- The Patio, Playground and Memorial Rock area where masks will be required
Indoor Masking Policy:
- Masks are required for all groups meeting indoors on Sundays and when youth are present in the building.
- Masks must be worn in all common spaces such as bathrooms and hallways.
- Individuals may unmask when working alone in an empty space.
- Covenantal Consent for Indoor Groups: Group leaders can poll their participants via email or phone to determine if they are comfortable attending an indoor group where individuals are permitted to not wear a mask. If and only if every participant is comfortable meeting inside with individuals who aren't masked, then participants in your group will be permitted to not wear a mask during your meeting space. When polling participants Leaders must make sure all participants can provide their responses confidentially prior to the meeting (via email or phone).
Outdoor Group Policy
- Congregants can reserve the following outdoor spaces using the calendar reservation form: Courtyard, Willis Garden, the lower playground, Parking Pad behind the church, the Porch outside of the Gallery, and the Parking Lot*.
- *The large Parking Lot may only be reserved on weekends and on weekday evenings.
- Masks are optional for outdoor groups that do not involve participants under 12 years old.
- Restrooms can be used, but masks are required.
- Food and drink can only be consumed outside during church programming.
Religious Education Programs Policy
- All Religious Education programs for 3 years - Middle School will be held outdoors if possible.
- Masks will be required for staff, volunteers and participants.
- Children 0-2 years will not be required to wear masks but Nursery staff will be required to wear masks.
- Parents are required to wear masks at drop off and pick up.
- All staff and volunteers working with children and youth are vaccinated.
- Programming for youth 12-18 years old will follow the Building Policy.
