Wellspring 1
Wellspring 1: A Unitarian Universalist Program for Deepening One's Spiritual Journey (Register here.)
Led by Sarah Verbiest and Sally Freeman
Probably 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 7-9 PM, starting Sept. 23 (note - the facilitators have some flexibility on the day this is offered if members of the choir are interested)
The program invites participants to deepen their individual spiritual callings through an intentional program of daily spiritual practice, spiritual mentoring, focused study and reflection, and small group meetings guided by the principle of deep listening. Wellspring participants make a commitment to a nine-month program of bi-weekly meetings as well as to developing a daily spiritual practice. Wellspringers may also choose to deepen their experience by meeting monthly with a spiritual director or guide. The bi-weekly meetings allow Wellspring members to check in and to offer mutual support to each other on their evolving spiritual journeys. The meetings are often structured around a particular theme or Unitarian Universalist source. You can learn more athttp://www.rochesterunitarian.org/wellspring.html. Or email Sarah Verbiest at sarahv@med.unc.edu or 919-638-5183.
Given the commitment required by this program, people interested in the program are asked to consider these questions and share their responses with Marion Hirsch and the upcoming program facilitators. The responses don¹t have to be long. Please send them by Monday August 24th. Please email them to Marion at hirsch.marion@gmail.com. Please put Wellspring in the subject line. 1) How do you see the Wellspring program as a part of your personal spiritual journey? 2) Will you be able to commit to meeting two Wednesdays a month for nine months? Is there anything that might impede your attendance? 3) What do you hope to gain from the Wellspring program? What is most appealing to you?
