SUNDAY SERVICES

  1. April 3
  2. “Transcending Mystery & Wonder;
  3. or, How I Spent My Sabbatical”
  4. Rev. Thom Belote, preaching
  5. Our own experience of transcending mystery and wonder is the first source of Unitarian Universalism. On this Sunday, Rev. Thom returns from sabbatical and shares his vision of a religious community shaped by mystery and wonder.

  6. MUSIC NOTES: This Sunday, the Choir will sing a stunning new setting of the classic text, “Locus Iste,” by Kevin A. Memley. And Danny Gotham and Glenn Mehrbach will play a piece by Peter Ostroushko concerning “the thin space of St. Paul’s Chapel.” We’ll open with a rousing Hymn Sing, to help welcome Rev. Thom back to the pulpit.

Community Day of Service/Annual Pledge Week
Thanks for all you did! Thanks to the more than 250 volunteers who joined us to provide more than 800 hours of service to more than 24 charities in our community on March 5, 2022. Through our Durham Bulls Baseball ticket raffle, we also raised $440 for the Inter-Faith Council for Social Services.
It was a heart-warming and exciting day.

WE ARE A WELCOMING CONGREGATION
Picture

We are a congregation that has historically stood for the civil rights of all people, especially those affected by racism and homophobia. We are a Welcoming Congregation, celebrating and affirming the active presence in our congregation of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and heterosexual members and friends and their families. We are actively engaged in dialogue about how to be a more racially diverse, multicultural, anti-oppressive congregation.

SUNDAY PARKING: Please honor the parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities and limited mobility at the front of the church, as well as the spaces reserved for the Auction Winners. We encourage folks to carpool and/or park offsite, if at all possible. Parking is available at The Community Church, as well as alternate parking options. See a map here. Please note: parking is not allowed at the Kehillah across the street.
WEEKDAY PARKING: The large lot is fully rented; please use the small lot directly in front of the church, the wooded lot along Purefoy Road, or in the lot behind the church.
Office Hours: Tuesday - Friday 9AM- 2PM
