Shelter Neck Family Weekend Retreat
Friday-Sunday, April 28-30, 2017
This is a really fun and relaxing weekend out in the country about 2 1/2 hours east, just off I-40. Shelter Neck was a Unitarian School at the turn of the last century and since then has been a camp and retreat. It consists of a schoolhouse which is a now a dormitory, a farm house with private rooms and some shared rooms and a big kitchen, and a little wooden church for Sunday Service. It has large grounds for tent camping. There are bathrooms and showers for all. About 60-80 Community Church folks usually attend the Shelter Neck Retreat. Information about the site: http://www.shelterneckuucamp.org/. We eat, relax, talk, play games, sit around the campfire, eat s'mores, canoe, sing, worship, hang out, get to know each other. It's low key and comfortable. A retreat from the busy world.
