for the Spring 2025 Retreat

Come for the Wonder & beauty!
come to make new connections!
The purpose of the retreat is to increase our connections with Community Church members and friends through activities and time spent together. Church members Charles and Lois Lee and Rev. Alison & Paul Eskildsen are your hosts and planning team. The theme for the retreat, Courage, builds on Rev. Thom Belote's congregational theme for our church year.
All activities are voluntary though we offer programs as well as free time for your own explorations, such as hiking mountain trails, viewing amazing vistas from the mountain's 4200’ elevation , or meditating among the roughly 500-year-old trees in the White Oak Grove. See below for a draft schedule of activities. You are invited to offer your own activity, too, such as a yoga session or poetry writing. You'll be invited to participate in our evening worship services, too.
The Mountain is a bit rugged and rustic, but it is handicapped accessible and electric wheelchairs are available. Housing is in the lodge or cabins, all with bathroom, showers, heat, and air conditioning. The kitchen staff accommodates dietary restrictions.
The Total Cost Per Person for the weekend includes a 3 day/2-night stay (lodging, 6 meals, programs, activities, and use of indoor & outdoor facilities):
