ACTION SCENE 17:
Writing campaign to NC supreme court chief justice

PRODUCTION TEAM:  Side with Love
SCENE DESCRIPTION: The Side with Love team will offer an exciting opportunity to write the NC Supreme Court Chief Justice and let him know how important it is for him and the Court to protect the legal votes of 65,000 NC voters.   We will provide you cards and pens, background information, talking points and stamps to get your letters or postcards into the mail.

In the Nov. election for the open seat for the NC Supreme Court a winner was declared - and that was after the votes had been counted three times. But the loser, instead of conceding has filed a lawsuit challenging the votes of 65,000 voters. This includes the vote cast by church member Lynn Holbein.   The loser wants legal votes to be tossed. He is attempting to overturn the results of a free and fair election. In defense of our core values to respect the inherent dignity of all and their right to fully participate in government and the major decisions of their lives, we will contact the Court to ask them to honor these 65,000 voters and their legal votes. The Wake Superior Court threw this baseless case out on Friday, Feb.7th. The loser immediately appealed to the NC Supreme Court.

Come meet some of the members of the Side with Love Team. We will be available to answer any questions you might have. We look forward to working with you for democracy and fairness.
